About #SWChat

Social Workplace Tweet Chat (#SWChat) is a weekly event on Twitter where people from all corners of the globe come together to discuss topics around The Social Workplace for 1 hour.

But what is The Social Workplace? It's a term used by businesses that encourage the use of social communications and social collaboration by their employees to improve overall productivity inside the company. It's the Next Generation Workplace.

#SWChat is intense, it's passionate, it's an incredible knowledge resource on all things social, but most of all it's an opportunity to meet and engage with some fantastic people.

The #SWChat Framework

There are 3 different styles which are interchanged to keep the event fresh and engaging:

Standard Event:
A topic and supporting questions are pref-defined by the event organisers

Guest Event:
A reknowned specialist / expert is brought in to share their knowledge and experience on a particular social topic

UnChat Event:
No topic or questions are pre-defined. The participants joining are asked at the start of the event what hot topic they would like discussed. The most popular is chosen.

So if you have a passion for social media or social technologies, or an interest in increasing efficiency and productivity levels in the workplace, or just want to meet and chat with some social-minded people, then #SWChat is a must.

Come and drop in every Thursday on Twitter at 9pm GMT / 4pm ET / 1pm PT, we'd love to see you...

(For more information on what a Tweet Chat is and how to engage, read Pam Moore's fantastic blog post Tweet Chats 101).
